Rhea Mathew is a dual-qualified lawyer and is also trained as a mediator. She is skilled in complex civil and commercial litigation and arbitration in a variety of disputes.

Rhea obtained her B. A., L.L.B (Hons.) degree, and a Diploma in Entrepreneurship Administration and Business Law in 2013 from top-ranked law schools in India. During law school, Rhea interned at the Supreme Court of India and clerked for a judge at the Delhi High Court (the equivalent of the Ontario Court of Appeal).

Before her move to Ontario, Rhea was a corporate and transactional lawyer and a litigator at top-tiered law firms in India. During this time, she advised and represented public and private corporations in complex and high-stakes international commercial arbitrations and the Republic of India in two investment treaty arbitrations. She has also represented leading international corporations in the acquisition of domestic companies and advised on setting up joint venture companies in various sectors.

Rhea brings a unique blend of transactional and litigation experience to the table. In her time as a litigator, she has been able to leverage her experience as a corporate lawyer for a well-rounded approach to commercial disputes.

Her practice at Keenberg & Co is focused on commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation in disputes involving businesses, partnerships, and corporations, including commercial contracts, fraud, real property disputes, shareholder remedies, joint venture disputes, professional negligence and business and professional defamation.
